Community Ministry sponsors a 5K walk along Bear Creek each year as a fundraiser. This years event will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017. It starts at 10:00 AM at:
Dartmouth Place Shopping Center,
5600 W. Dartmouth
(Please park at St. Andrew Presbyterian). Onsite registration at 9:30, run 10:00, walk 10:05.

The walk concludes with prizes, a picnic, and other activities for the participants.

Registration Costs:

  • Children 5 and under are Free
  • Under 18 and over 60 – $15.00
  • Ages 19-59 – $25.00.

Event day registration is available, but you are encouraged to register before the day of the walk. You will be able to register and pay for the walk online here before the event or by printing and filling out our Brochure and Registration Form and sending it, along with your registration fee, to:

This is our gala event featuring a silent auction, guest MC and entertainment and delicious buffet dinner. The theme is Magical Masquerade. Everyone is encouraged to a wear a Masquerade Mask. In addition to the silent auction and dinner, we will have a magic show and carnival games to play.

School Supply Drive and Distribution

Each year Community Ministry helps more than 300 children prepare for school by providing school supplies. Member churches and individuals donate items.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Boxes


Community Ministry provides food boxes each Thanksgiving and Christmas above and beyond the regular food bank distribution. Food boxes include ingredients for a complete holiday dinner, including meat. Food comes from special item food drives hosted by supporting churches, donations from stores and other organizations.

Sharing Tree

Each year Community Ministry provides gifts for children in the area for Christmas. Nominations of children to receive gifts are made by family members, schools and churches. Each child receives up to $30.00 worth of Christmas gifts donated by private individuals.

Special Event Fund Raisers

Member churches are encouraged to organize fundraiser events for their congregations to support Community Ministry. These have included bake sales, car washes, garage sales, hosting groups for meals and donating proceeds to CM, selling King Soopers gift certificates etc.

Caring by Candlelight

This is an elegant  ladies only dessert and hors d’oeuvres evening. Features include a silent auction, special music and food pantry recipients telling their stories.
